The strength of our bike trailers lies not only in the material, but also in their design. The sturdy aluminum chassis forms a free loading area with many fastening options. Boxes, bags, superstructures, or special solutions can be stored here without slipping down.
Accessories can be added, exchanged, or even built yourself. The system is designed for all kinds of extensions. This means that the trailer can still be used even if requirements change.

At Hinterher, we build things that you understand when you use them. Tools that are designed to last for decades. That's why we've been manufacturing our bike trailers with great care in and around Munich since 2012 – predominantly locally and according to the principles of the economy for the common good.
Much of what makes our trailers special is not immediately apparent. It's in the materials, the connections, the repairability. This effort is not an end in itself. And it's not a lifestyle product. You can feel it with every kilometer.
Better safe than sorry
The bike hitch connects the bike and trailer—and bears responsibility. In rain, snow, potholes, and under load.
That's why we rely on tried-and-tested Weber couplings from Germany. And for the most demanding applications, we have developed our own stainless steel rear coupling system.

About Hinterher
Hinterher was founded in Munich in 2012 by Peter Hornung.
As a carpenter and architect, he spent years building furniture in a small workshop in the Glockenbach district. The quality was right—but the delivery van wasn't. Too big, too slow, too many parking problems in the city.
The solution: a bike trailer that works like a good tool. Attractive, robust, flexible, repairable.
After five prototype series, it was clear: this is more than just a solution to a specific problem. It's an attitude.
Hinterher has received numerous awards for its design, functionality, and sustainability—but more importantly, thousands of its trailers are now driving on roads around the world.
