You can modify, expand, and repair your Hinterher yourself. You can drill additional holes in the aluminum chassis or build your own enclosure for it. That's what the system is designed for.
No electronics that break down. All components are exposed and can be replaced with standard tools. And our new designs are compatible with existing trailers: You can even install the 2025 suspension on the very first Hinterher models.

Better safe than sorry

About Hinterher
Hinterher was founded in Munich in 2012 by Peter Hornung.
As a carpenter and architect, he spent years building furniture in a small workshop in the Glockenbach district. The quality was right—but the delivery van wasn't. Too big, too slow, too many parking problems in the city.
The solution: a bike trailer that works like a good tool. Attractive, sturdy, versatile, repairable, and made locally in Germany.
After five prototype series, it was clear: this is more than just a solution to a specific problem. It's an attitude.
Hinterher has received numerous awards for its design, functionality, and sustainability—but more importantly, thousands of its trailers are now driving on roads around the world.
