In Bremen, Caritas has been proving for five years now that delivering daily meals to daycare centers doesn’t have to involve a delivery van. There, hot lunches are transported to their destination effortlessly on two wheels. The challenge back then was as simple as it was demanding: Blancotherm’s heavy, wheeled food containers had to be loaded onto the bicycle trailer safely and with minimal effort.
Thanks to its sturdy construction with an integrated loading ramp and a low center of gravity, loading is done in no time. The vehicle combination has now become an integral part of Bremen’s urban logistics and demonstrates every day just how reliably such a solution performs in continuous operation. It’s always a pleasure for us to see how our modular system helps make social projects mobile and makes everyday life in the city a little easier.
