Das 200-Kilo-Projekt: “Schwemmholz-Logistik” an der Schmerzgrenze
When we talk about “heavy-duty,” we usually mean professional use involving loads around the 100-kg mark in continuous operation. But what Peter is doing in the Lech Valley with his various Hinterher bike trailers is raising the bar. His goal: to collect driftwood. What’s impressive is that Peter doesn’t use an e-bike; instead, he relies entirely on his own muscle power and a conventional touring bike.
Hauling loads like this over 10 kilometers without motor assistance demonstrates two things: Peter’s exceptional stamina and the quality of our trailers. It goes without saying that you have to drive with the utmost care and caution during such extreme transport operations.

I’ve probably finished my 200-kg project. The solution was the Stevens touring bike with the coupling on the frame. In the photo, you can see payloads ranging from 180 to 215 kg. I’ve always transported loads over distances of more than 10 km, sometimes under difficult conditions..... Your trailers run smoothly at 3.5 bar.
So far, I’ve done this three times—it seems possible without any defects. Don’t worry, I have no intention of “keeping this up,” because it’s just too exhausting.....
For me, the key—aside from the tow vehicle—lies in a number of details(!) in the loading process. If that doesn’t work out, you can forget it!
I’ve been meticulously recording this for years. It’s actually nonsense, but ultimately a cool story. Speaking of stories, I’ll send you the other photos. I don’t like the internet!
