Polizei Hamburg
Police Precinct 11 in Hamburg has a new addition: The Polizeiverein Hamburg e.V. donated a custom-built bicycle trailer to Precinct 11, which will be used as a mobile information booth throughout the neighborhood. This is already the fifth model from our workshop to be put into service by the Hamburg Police.
The Hamburg Police Department states:
“Things are really rolling at Police Precinct 11 (PK 11)—in the truest sense of the word!
That’s because PK 11 is thrilled to have its very own bike trailer, which the Hamburg Police Association has ceremoniously donated. It’s already the fifth trailer rolling down Hamburg’s streets as part of community-oriented policing—and it not only looks stylish but is also quite capable.
Whether it’s prevention work—such as informational events on current topics at relevant locations—or mobile outreach, including appearances at neighborhood festivals or the weekly market, these bike trailers are true all-rounders. They can be used to transport informational materials, giveaways, operational supplies, and sometimes even a little good cheer from A to B and back—without any flashing lights, but with a huge impact.
The latest addition to the small but mighty trailer fleet was ceremonially handed over to Police Precinct 11 last week in the presence of Wolfgang Brandt from the Hamburg Police Association. Steven Kaludzinski, the chief of staff at Police Precinct 11, also made a point of attending the handover in person.
The joy among the colleagues—especially the community-oriented officers—was immense. After all, working out on the bike is twice as much fun when you have the right equipment with you.
We’d like to take this opportunity to extend a huge thank you to the Hamburg Police Association, which, through this series of donations, not only provides practical support but also shows that commitment to the police can take many forms—and sometimes even involve two wheels.
