Sportlich: Tretroller + Anhänger
It's no secret that our bike trailers look great attached to a bike. But Ulrike is showing us a whole different, sporty side right now: she simply uses her Hmax light in combination with a kick scooter.
Not only is this convenient for shopping without a heavy backpack, but it’s also a real full-body workout. Ulrike writes to us:
“Hi Peter,
This morning I went shopping on my kick scooter (and ran into your (80-year-old) mom, who was at the beverage store on her bike with her “Hinterher” trailer 🙂) — and since the weather was nice, I took a few photos of my ride.
The kick scooter and Hmax ride great together; I just had to adjust my pedaling technique a bit so my left foot wouldn’t hit the clutch/drawbar. But it works, and I still have plenty of time to practice before summer...”
Cycling is great—for example, for your daily commute, for running errands, or for traveling to and from your vacation destination (which, of course, involves a “return trip” ). But anyone who’s ever ridden a kick scooter has probably experienced firsthand that it engages far more muscles than cycling does, especially in the upper body. When it comes to fitness, the kick scooter definitely has an edge over a bike—which is why riding a kick scooter is perfect for New Year’s resolutions. Ideally, of course, it should be integrated into your daily routine—but here’s the thing: How do you, for example, do your weekly grocery shopping on a kick scooter without having to use a large backpack? The Hinterher Hmax light and a slightly adjusted kicking technique make it possible.
Happy New Year! Thank you so much for your great service. Best regards,
Ulrike”
