Box Trailer with Roll Cover
560 L
Huge volume for commercial and parcel services
With its robust aluminum box and generous load volume of 560 liters, this bicycle trailer sets new standards for commercial use. This size represents the ideal balance between transport capacity, dead weight and payload, cost, and handling. Larger trailers would quickly reach their limits in practice, especially on bicycle paths, and could interfere with smooth operation. The 560-liter box trailer offers excellent balance while remaining extremely practical. Thanks to the high-quality roll cover, the load can be accessed in no time at all, while the trailer can be easily loaded from above. This functionality was developed in close cooperation with several parcel service providers and ensures maximum efficiency.

Overrun brake
Every Hinterher trailer can optionally be equipped with an inertia (overrun) brake. This independent braking system automatically slows the trailer as soon as you apply the bicycle’s brakes. Especially when carrying heavy loads on a regular basis—whether for private or commercial use—the overrun brake provides a significant increase in safety and control.
Adaptable
Thanks to Hinterher extensive and modular range of components, the box trailers Hinterher be ideally adapted to your own requirements.
Why coose Hinterher
We are constantly developing trailer technology and have designed many components that open up completely new fields of application. Instead of running in components from various mechanical applications, we optimize the necessary components so that they are optimally dimensioned for bicycle trailers and have the properties they need. To do this, we have our own extruded profiles manufactured and work with CNC machinists, laser specialists, and many others to have our own components manufactured.
Full-surface, play-free connections between drawbar trailer instead of loose screw connections and material weakening. Drawbars that can withstand the load. High-quality industrial plain bearings for a durable fit and easy release.
High-quality spoked wheels. We install the wheels vertically so that, unlike wheels installed at an angle, splashing water and dirt are hardly thrown onto the trailer. No asymmetrical wear on tires, axles, and bearings.
Strongest and most sophisticated coupling technology on the market, with a load capacity of up to 150 kg. No child trailer technology limited to 45 kg on cargo trailers!
Since 2012, we have been pushing the boundaries of bike trailers with our globally unique modular system.
Hinterher have been in commercial use for many years by police forces, universities, government agencies, and parcel delivery services such as UPS and DPD.
If something breaks
Every one of our bicycle trailers is designed to be extremely easy to repair should a component ever become damaged or worn. All parts are easily accessible and can be replaced using basic tools. Every single component—even the industrial bearings in the wheel hub—is available individually from us.
Award-winning
We have received numerous awards for our innovative bike trailers and our sustainable business and production methods. Our bike trailers have also frequently undergone tests in the bicycle press. You can read press reviews here.
Regional manufacturing, sustainable business practices
Almost all components of Hinterher manufactured in our neighborhood. A few components are manufactured in northern Italy and Sweden. Short delivery routes, high environmental and social standards, local value creation, and outstanding expertise characterize our manufacturing process. Each Hinterher assembled here in Munich by our team according to customer specifications. For packaging, we use old cardboard boxes, which we turn into filling material for safe shipping with our "green shredder monster." Manufacturing products that are durable and repairable when necessary is the core concept of a sustainable product for us.
FAQs
-
The Hinterher is very easy to pull. You will notice it most when starting off, but otherwise our bike trailers behave very neutrally. This is due to the low mounting of our trailers on the bike, which means that the riding dynamics are hardly affected.
Even when loaded, a Hinterher is easy to ride. Compared to cargo bikes in particular, even inexperienced cyclists find it easier to handle a trailer.
Please note that the same rules apply to riding with a trailer as to driving a car: ride carefully and adapt to the conditions! Carefully test the handling characteristics of your trailer in different scenarios to get a feel for its capabilities, but also its limitations. -
You only need to attach a Weber hitch to your bike's rear wheel axle once, or together with your bike's kickstand. The hitch then remains permanently on the bike. This allows the trailer to be connected to the bike with a 'click' in just a few seconds, anytime.
We use the high-quality Weber hitch 'Made in Germany,' which has been the gold standard in the cycling industry for many years and is designed to be extremely robust.

The good news: We can install a high-quality Weber hitch on almost any bike. Generally, there are two places where the hitch can be installed on the bike: on the rear wheel axle or together with the bike's kickstand, if it meets the requirements.
We are happy to advise you on choosing the right hitch. Please send us a photo of your rear wheel (taken from the left side in the direction of travel).
If you would like to check for yourself which Weber hitch might fit, you can look it up in our coupling guide (PDF) here.
