The wooden barrel—essentially the “Eurobox” or “amphora” of the past—is being transported here on a homemade bicycle trailer (made with parts we sourced ourselves). It’s interesting how each era has developed its own distinctive containers as an expression of what was technically, logistically, and economically feasible.
