A great bike trailer, designed from the ground up for lightweight construction with many clever design details from EKKI (see links to their videos below). It’s not just the lightweight materials that keep the weight down, but also the trailer’s design: the chassis and body are, in a sense, decoupled. This allows the body to be much lighter than usual, since it doesn’t have to withstand the forces generated while riding. The chassis is our H2O boat trailer. As a result, the axle and drawbar form a single, continuously connected system. The body is bolted to the front and rear of the H2O’s drawbar.

For anyone interested, here is a parts list showing how to build a similar bicycle trailer, 200 cm long and 80 cm wide, based on the H2O boat trailer.

Optional:
The bicycle trailer can also be built wider than 80 cm if stainless steel axles are installed instead of the plastic axle mounts. This allows for widths of up to 96 cm. Please send us an email regarding this.
