Dear Hinterher Team,

I’ve had the Hxxl trailer for a few weeks now, and two days ago I received the 50-series drawbar extension from you.

I’ve never seen a trailer that’s so well-built and thoughtfully designed, and I’m wondering why I didn’t discover it sooner? An acquaintance of mine, who I saw with a Hinterher last year, has been using his for 8 years now, and when we compared them, we saw that not much has changed in the most important components. That speaks for itself.

Add to that your excellent advice on the type of hitch mounting and the attentive and dedicated support from Fahrrad Linnenkamp in Gütersloh.

I often receive donated bicycles to provide for people in need. The city has provided me with an old barn for this purpose, where I’ve been volunteering since 2015 to help repair bikes as part of a “help people help themselves” initiative. I can’t transport bikes in my car (an old electric car). So I’ve often walked the 2.5 km there with two bikes in hand—mine and the donated one. That’s quite a hassle.
Now there’s a solution.

Using an old car roof rack for square-edged rain gutters—which I bought online for just a few euros and whose square tubing I shortened—I can now transport standard bikes weighing up to 16 kg (the bike rack’s soft metal can’t handle any more than that). It works very well, and I’m really glad that I can now use the trailer even more flexibly.
