Everything fits
We asked ourselves what a bike trailer would need to look like in order to be as flexible as possible for a wide variety of transport tasks. From handling weekly shopping to transporting the christmas tree, from moving water crates to beer benches, from carrying tents to dog crates. This unmatched flexibility is achieved through the shape and details of our aluminum chassis. Transporting things is made incredibly easy by the surrounding edge of the chassis, as nothing can slide off the trailer. At the same time, the trailers side wall is no higher than it needs to be, so that even extra-long and bulky items can be transported. In addition, the side walls have openings for tension straps and allow numerous attachment points for accessories.
Goes with you everywhere
The Hmini can be used with various types of transport and in different ways. It folds into a flat package extremely quickly, fitting into any train, car boot, or basement. Additionally, the Hmini can switch between bike trailer mode and handcart mode in just a few seconds. This means you can take it as a handcart to the garden, park, or supermarket and thanks to its integrated stand, it can be safely parked and loaded even without a bike.

Why coose Hinterher
Rectangular loading area designed to meet industry standards for maximum compatibility with Euroboxes, folding crates, and Systainers.
Can be completely dismantled in 10 seconds and stored compactly.
Full-surface, play-free connections between drawbar and trailer instead of loose screw connections and material weakening. Axles made of stainless steel instead of aluminum. Attention to material compatibility through the use of high-quality plain bearings from IGUS.
Upright wheels that, unlike angled wheels, hardly splash water and dirt onto the trailer. No uneven wear on tires, axles, and bearings.
Strongest and most sophisticated coupling technology on the market, with a load capacity of up to 150 kg. No child trailer technology limited to 45 kg on cargo trailers!
Since 2012, we have been pushing the boundaries of bike trailers with our globally unique modular system.
"The Hinterher is so full of clever ideas and solutions. You don't know which one to be most excited about."

If something breaks
Each of our bike trailers is extremely easy to repair if a component ever becomes defective or worn. All components are easily accessible and can be replaced with the simplest tools.
Award-winning
We have received numerous awards for our innovative bike trailers and our sustainable business and production methods. Our bike trailers have also frequently undergone tests in the bicycle press. You can read press reviews here.
Regional manufacturing, sustainable business practices
Almost all components of Hinterher bicycle trailers are manufactured in our neighbourhood. A few components are manufactured in northern Italy and Sweden. Short delivery routes, high environmental and social standards, local value creation and outstanding expertise characterize our manufacturing process. Each Hinterher is assembled by our team here in western Munich according to customer specifications. Manufacturing products that are durable and repairable when necessary is the core concept of a sustainable product for us.
FAQs
-
The Hinterher is very easy to pull. You will notice it most when starting off, but otherwise our bike trailers behave very neutrally. This is due to the low mounting of our trailers on the bike, which means that the riding dynamics are hardly affected.
Even when loaded, a Hinterher is easy to ride. Compared to cargo bikes in particular, even inexperienced cyclists find it easier to handle a trailer.
Please note that the same rules apply to riding with a trailer as to driving a car: ride carefully and adapt to the conditions! Carefully test the handling characteristics of your trailer in different scenarios to get a feel for its capabilities, but also its limitations. -
You only need to attach a Weber hitch to your bike's rear wheel axle once, or together with your bike's kickstand. The hitch then remains permanently on the bike. This allows the trailer to be connected to the bike with a 'click' in just a few seconds, anytime.
We use the high-quality Weber hitch 'Made in Germany,' which has been the gold standard in the cycling industry for many years and is designed to be extremely robust.
-
The good news: We can install a high-quality Weber hitch on almost any bike. Generally, there are two places where the hitch can be installed on the bike: on the rear wheel axle or together with the bike's kickstand, if it meets the requirements.
We are happy to advise you on choosing the right hitch. Please send us a photo of your rear wheel (taken from the left side in the direction of travel).
If you would like to check for yourself which Weber hitch might fit, you can look it up in our coupling guide (PDF) here.
