Market stall with awning

A real eye-catcher

Our high-performance 500-liter box trailer forms the basis for this market or information stand. With its large transport volume and heavy-duty equipment, the box trailer is designed for professional use. The market stand gets its special appeal from the awning construction, which is completely handmade. Solid ash wood is unmatched in its stability and elasticity and is elaborately processed in many different individual steps. The awning roof is also sewn by hand in the selected color on a regional basis. The entire roof construction can be assembled and disassembled in just a few steps. This model is only available directly from Hinterher.

Consistent appearance

The market stall with awning is a high-quality and very sturdy box trailer. It offers a considerable transport volume and exudes a very special charm when assembled. The shape of the awning and the elaborately crafted frame made of beautiful ash wood give the market stall a nostalgic, handcrafted touch.

Overrun brake

drawbar overrun brake for bicycle trailers from Hinterher

Every Hinterher trailer can optionally be equipped with an inertia (overrun) brake. This independent braking system automatically slows the trailer as soon as you apply the bicycle’s brakes. Especially when carrying heavy loads on a regular basis—whether for private or commercial use—the overrun brake provides a significant increase in safety and control.

Can also be maneuvered on foot

The market stall with awning can also be easily moved without a bicycle if necessary. There are two options to choose from. A lowerable support wheel makes the market stall free-standing and very easy to push by hand. The swiveling support wheel allows for easy maneuvering even in the smallest of spaces. The second option can be combined with the support wheel or selected individually: the drawbar mount mounted in the front center allows switching the drawbar from bicycle mode into handcart mode (and vice versa).

Carved from special wood

The market stall gets its special character from the shape of the awning and the wooden frame. It is reminiscent of traditional market stalls, which is emphasized by the craftsmanship that goes into its manufacture. Ash wood has always been the preferred material for awning frames due to its excellent properties and elasticity. It is painstakingly handcrafted in Germany over many hours and features many lovely details and clever design solutions. The frame can be folded up for transport in just a few simple steps and secured in a bag on the trailer.

Regional manufacturing, sustainable business practices

Almost all components of the Hinterher are manufactured in our immediate vicinity. Only a small number of parts are sourced from Northern Italy and Sweden. Short supply routes, high environmental and social standards, local value creation, and outstanding technical expertise define our manufacturing approach.

Each Hinterher is assembled by our team in the west of Munich according to customer specifications. For shipping, we reuse cardboard and process it with our “green monster” into protective packing material. For us, true sustainability means building products that are made to last—and that can be repaired when needed.

FAQs

  • The Hinterher is very easy to pull. You will notice it most when starting off, but otherwise our bike trailers behave very neutrally. This is due to the low mounting of our trailers on the bike, which means that the riding dynamics are hardly affected.

Even when loaded, a Hinterher is easy to ride. Compared to cargo bikes in particular, even inexperienced cyclists find it easier to handle a trailer.

Please note that the same rules apply to riding with a trailer as to driving a car: ride carefully and adapt to the conditions! Carefully test the handling characteristics of your trailer in different scenarios to get a feel for its capabilities, but also its limitations.

  • You only need to attach a Weber hitch to your bike's rear wheel axle once, or together with your bike's kickstand. The hitch then remains permanently on the bike. This allows the trailer to be connected to the bike with a 'click' in just a few seconds, anytime.

We use the high-quality Weber hitch 'Made in Germany,' which has been the gold standard in the cycling industry for many years and is designed to be extremely robust.

  • The good news: We can install a high-quality Weber hitch on almost any bike. Generally, there are two places where the hitch can be installed on the bike: on the rear wheel axle or together with the bike's kickstand, if it meets the requirements.

We are happy to advise you on choosing the right hitch. Please send us a photo of your rear wheel (taken from the left side in the direction of travel).

If you would like to check for yourself which Weber hitch might fit, you can look it up in our coupling guide (PDF) here.

You can find even more questions in our extensive FAQs. Recommendations for the right bike trailer can also be found in our guide. Our gallery is also often helpful, where you can view photos of different models or themes.
