14,000 Kilometers in Continuous Use: A Field Report from Darmstadt
Sometimes a brief piece of feedback says more than any brochure. We received a letter from Adam B., who has been proving for three years that consistently going without a car in everyday business life is not only possible but also entirely practical.
A Sea of Lights in Zurich: Our Bike Trailer at the Räbeliechtli Parade
We receive mail from Switzerland from time to time, but this time there was a particularly lovely tradition behind it. In many Swiss communities, especially around Zurich, children walk through the dark streets in November carrying “Räbeliechtli.”
Afterward, at the movie theater to see *Pumuckl*
As a child, I loved the Pumuckl stories, and my own children love them, too. Of course, we went as a family to see the fantastic new adaptation in the movie theater. And suddenly my son shouted, “Dad, look, there’s a ‘Hinterher’!”
Expedition Australia: A Special Trailer for the Outback
One of our customers has set herself an extraordinary goal: to travel 1,800 kilometers across the Australian Outback. For this adventure, we had the privilege of building a custom-made expedition trailer that is pulled like a rickshaw using a comfortable hip belt.
Ten Years and Still Going Strong: A Message from Long-Term Practice
Sometimes we’re even a little surprised ourselves at how quickly time flies. Then we get an email from a customer like Stefan and realize: It’s actually been ten years since we last spoke. A lot has happened here in our workshop over the past decade:
Bike trailer instead of a delivery van
In the skilled trades, there are plenty of situations where you’d prefer to do without a delivery van—and the traffic jams and hassle of finding parking that come with it. And since a trailer allows you to continue using your existing bicycles, the upfront costs are much lower than those for cargo bikes.
When a Boat Trailer Becomes a Log Truck
We actually designed the H2O model for kayaks and canoes. But a customer has now shown us—with a rather impressive “special transport”—that it’s also perfect for tackling your next attic renovation or building a fence in the backyard.
Hamburg Police Department PK21
It’s always a special compliment for us when customers become “repeat customers”—especially when it’s the police.
Four in a Row: A Road Train for Parking Day
Road trains are usually something you only see in Australia, where those long truck convoys are the ultimate nemesis for cyclists. In comparison, a road train you’re riding behind is relatively harmless, but of course it’s quite a sight.
Silent Disco Berlin
A “silent disco” is as simple as it is ingenious: All participants wear wireless headphones and dance together to music that remains completely silent to outsiders.
A bike trip starting right from your own front door
Our customer Ulrike proves that you don’t need a car for a vacation in the Alps. She had her trusty, somewhat aging bike trailer “refurbished” at our shop and set off on her bike directly from Munich.
200 kilometers, 6 people, a trailer: Traveling through Switzerland with colorful boxes
When you pack up all the camping gear for two weeks and six people, you quickly end up with a mountain of luggage. Stefan solved the problem with an Hxxxl and, in anticipation of the trip, painted the Euroboxes in bright colors beforehand. Not only does it look great, but it also helps keep everything organized at camp.
Bicycle Trailers for RC Model Airplanes
It’s always a highlight for us when our components help bring passionate hobbies on the go. After a “scary moment” with his old trailer, Stefan from Switzerland rolled up his sleeves and used our components to build an impressive 2.30-meter-long vehicle for transporting his model airplanes.
DIY Dog Tags
Today we had a very special visitor, even though the occasion was a bit sad. A family from the Allgäu stopped by with their Hxxxl and the DIY kennel they’d built with so much love for their Bernese Mountain Dog.
A mobile gathering place on two wheels
News from Franconia! In Fürth, the Coordinated Neighborhood Network Office is showing how, with a lot of passion and volunteer effort, a bicycle trailer can be converted into a mobile information booth.
Bicycle Trailer with Suspension
The first bike trailers featuring our new suspension system are now on the road. The great thing about our design with the aluminum chassis is that you don’t have to buy everything new when we make improvements. We just had a few older models here in the workshop the other day and simply retrofitted them with the new suspension.
Mobile Movie Theater: Ciné Vélo Cité
Sometimes you don't need solid walls to create great cinema—just a good idea and a sturdy frame. The Ciné Vélo Cité (CVC) project impressively demonstrates how to literally bring culture to the streets.
