Many beekeepers have long since discovered the benefits of bike trailers. Perhaps this is partly because they often work close to nature and are on the move anyway. From our perspective, however, there are also very simple, practical reasons for this. In beekeeping, equipment needs to be moved frequently—often over short distances and along paths that are easily navigated by bike or handcart.

Christian from Dresden faced exactly this challenge: Doing the weekly grocery shopping in the cramped child trailer was “less than ideal,” but he didn’t want to give up the familiar handling of a high handle and a sturdy jogger wheel for hikes.

Anyone who has ever tried to enjoy a freshly tapped beer from a keg that has just rumbled its way across the street for kilometers knows the frustration: Instead of beer, all that comes out is foam. The Theckenclub wasn’t willing to put up with that. Their homemade mobile beer cart was finally going to deliver beer again instead of foam.
After nearly a year of “maturing” (and patient guidance), the team finally retrofitted our suspension system. The result? Beer hikes are possible again.

We’re actually a little proud: The Royal Observatory of Belgium is celebrating its 200th anniversary and has come up with a special way to bring astronomy directly to the public for this occasion.
